Sheriff Tim Mueller - endorser
Giving a person a driver’s license who is in this country illegally is flat out irresponsible and does nothing to protect the citizens of this state.
I for one am sick and tired of politicians in Salem pandering to illegal aliens solely for political gain while they ignore their responsibilities to the citizens of Oregon.
It’s time we made our voices heard and oppose this negligent piece of legislation.
Linn County Sheriff (Ret.) Tim Mueller has lived in Linn County his entire life with the exception of the time spent serving in the United States Army. He was raised on his parent’s farm in Tangent and learned the value of community service from his father; who was a volunteer fireman for 30 years and a volunteer with the Sheriff’s Mounted Posse since 1976, where he still serves to this day. Tim followed his dad’s example and at 17 joined the Tangent Fire Department where he got a taste of public service.
He joined the Army after he graduated from West Albany High School and served three years as a Military Policeman in Alabama, Germany and Texas. When his enlistment was up in 1983 he came home to Oregon and volunteered for the Sheriff’s Mounted Posse until Sheriff Ken Goin hired him in 1984.
Starting as a deputy, Tim worked his way up through the ranks of Corporal, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Under-sheriff and then Sheriff, serving the citizens of Linn County for nearly 30 years. Tim is a graduate of the US Army Military Police School and the Oregon Police Academy for both Corrections and Police and has implemented many advanced leadership programs and search and rescue programs as well.
Sheriff Mueller retired December 31, 2013. Tim and his wife have been married for 27 years and have three children.
